Plectrix (“the app”) is developed by Vlastimil Červený. This policy explains what the app does with your data.
Summary
The app does not collect, sell or share personal data, and it sends nothing to the developer. Everything it does with sound happens on your device.
Microphone
The app asks for access to the microphone. It uses it only while a tool that listens is open on the screen (tuner, strum tuner, intonation, BPM detector, spectrum, decibel meter, recorder). The sound is analysed on your device in real time and is not stored or sent anywhere – except by the Recorder, see below. The app does not listen in the background.
Recordings
Recordings made with the Recorder are saved on your device only. They leave the device only if you share or export them yourself (for example with the Android share menu or “save to the phone”); the app does not upload them. They are removed when you uninstall the app, unless you have saved them to the phone's Music folder.
Settings
Your settings (for example the reference pitch, the metronome tempo or a calibration) are stored on your device. They may be included in Android's device backup if you have it turned on.
Purchases
The optional Pro upgrade is bought through Google Play. The payment is handled by Google under the Google Privacy Policy; the developer does not receive your payment details. The app only asks Google Play whether Pro has been bought and remembers the answer on your device. This is the only reason the app connects to the internet.
Analytics, ads and tracking
The app has no ads, no analytics, no crash reporting and no tracking. It does not use an account.
This website
This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no external services. The web server does not keep access logs.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not collect data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with a new date.
